White Water Rescue Technician (Foundation/Recreation & Professional)

The Whitewater Rescue Technician courses are designed for whitewater users such as kayakers, canoeists, raft guides, packrafters and stand up paddle boarders. The 'foundation' course is for those with little experience, 'recreational' course aimed at those with existing river experience and the 'Pro' course aimed at raft guides, safety kayakers and river guides.

This two day First Aid in the Outdoors course provides the minimum training for first aid required as a prerequisite for most National Governing Body awards. The scenario based syllabus is directly aimed at the outdoor instruction industry but is also suitable to anyone working in the outdoors including; construction workers, landscapers, gardeners, tree surgeons.

Do I need any prior experience to attend a course?

Most of our open courses are designed to be accessible to individuals with little or no prior formal training. Some courses do require a basic level of fitness or prior water experience. If you are unsure whether a course is right for you, get in touch and we will be happy to talk it through before you book.

What qualifications will I receive on completion?

All courses are accredited by Rescue 3, one of the world's leading technical rescue training organisations. Your qualification is internationally recognised and valid for three years, making it a valuable addition to your CV whether you are pursuing a career in the outdoors, emergency services, or beyond.

Where are open courses held?

The majority of our open courses are held at our dedicated training facility in Shropshire, which offers purpose-built training spaces, on-site lake access, year-round river environments, and on-site accommodation. This makes it an ideal setting for a focused, residential training experience.
